VAWA

The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) gives victims of domestic violence, battery or extreme cruelty the option to become lawful permanent resident in certain cases. One of the eligibility conditions is that the crime was committed by a U.S. citizen spouse, son or daughter, or a lawful permanent resident spouse or parent.
